IRS Sets 2008 Mileage Rates

The IRS announced an 8-cent increase in the optional standard mileage rates for the final six months of 2008. The rate will increase to 58.5 cents a mile from July 1, 2008 through December 31, 2008.

As a reminder, overtime must be paid at one and a half times the hourly rate of pay after 40 physical hours worked in a 7 day pay period.
